Purpose:
@EN The purpose of this study is to evaluate the incidence and radiological appearance of accessory axillary breast in Korean women.
@ES Materials and Methods:
@EN We reviewed 500mammography of healthy Korean women. The incidence, size, shape, symmetricity and laterality of accessory axillary breasts were evaluated.
@ES Results:
@EN The incidence of accessory axillary breast was 3.4% (17 cases). Unilateral, scattered appearance was the most common radiological finding (5 cases). Bilaterality was shown in 7 cases with same shapes in both sides.
@ES Conclusion:
@EN The incidence of accessory axillary breast in Korean women was in the range of reported incidence. The findings of accessory axillary breasts of breathy women on mammography would help to make the differential diagnosis from other axillary
lesions
including the diseases from themselves.
